Baller on the court for the L.A. Lakers Kobe Bryant has fallen flat with his marriage as now his wife Vanessa is filing for divorce. Vanessa Bryant cites “irreconcilable differences” as her reasons for divorce with Orange county courts on Friday, December 16, 2011. Vanessa stuck it out through the tenuous marriage for 10 years of games, groupies, and gossip—she stood by Kobe Bryant through the 2003 sexual assault charges.  While the tabloids shout “Foul” and are jeering hoping for a messy divorce Kobe and Vanessa seem very calm with the split even without a prenup SheGoneLeavewithHalf.

According to a statement released to the press, “The Bryants have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012.” (Abc.com)  Vanessa’s counsel for the divorce was noted lawyer Laura Wasser.The divorce papers filed stated that Kobe and Vanessa agreed to share legal and physical custody of their two daughters, Natalia 8, and Giana, 5. While the paperwork is finished and all of the legal dealings are done the Bryants final court ruling will commence in early 2012. They have publicly asked for privacy during the upcoming holiday season. In a statement to the press, “We ask that in the interest of our young children, and in light of the upcoming holiday season, the public respect our privacy during this most difficult time”. First Kimmy K (aka Kim Kardashian) ends her fairy tale with an unhappy ending now the Bryants are calling it quits before the New Year, seems like 2012 will be a year of new beginnings.
